The Lynx is a two seater spaceship that is incredibly small for a spacecraft and it promises to take you to the very edge of the earth’s atmosphere, just into space so that you can see the curvature of mother earth and then, turn around and bring you back safely to terra firma. And all this in a flight time of just 30 minutes. This spaceship, to be manufactured by Xcor aerospace, is not too dissimilar to the fighter jets that are used in the U.S army and is even smaller than most fighter jets. Lynx is proposed to make spacetrips from the Mojave desert will take you to the tip of outerspace at a very high 61 kilometres above the surface. And no, you cannot take a companion along in the Lynx, you have to sit behind the pilot for the spacetrip. Xcor’s president Jeffrey Greason claims that the Lynx is environment friendly as the Lynx’s rocket engines are reusable and burn cleanly. All said and done, Space travel has never looked so promising and affordable ever before. That is, if you call $100,000 for a trip, affordable.
